Class Prices and Packages

4-Week Group Class = $65/person, $60 with the pre-registration discount

2-Pak = $100/person
- Includes (2) 4-Week Group Classes for a unique student in the same session
- Ex: Swing II and Lindy I in March.  The 2-pak is not valid for Swing II in March and Lindy I in April
- Saves $15/class
- Please note: You may not share or transfer packages to another student.

3-Pak = $120/person
- Includes (3) 4-Week Group Classes for a unique student in the same session
- Ex:  Swing II, Lindy I and Blues I in March.  The 3-pak is not valid for Swing II A in March & Swing II B in April & Swing II C in May
- Saves $25/class
- Please note: You may not share or transfer packages to another student.

Online Registration

If you are unable to register a partner, please call 312.243.0700.  The class may be closed to single leads or follows due to a temporary imbalance.  Our system is wonderful, but does not yet recognize couples and we have to manually open up a spot for your partner.

To enroll in our classes, you’ll be transferred to our new online registration software, where all your personal information is stored and encrypted to protect your credit card information. The link is below and just above the class schedule.

With our new system, you’ll be asked to create a unique user name and password. From there, it’s easy to Sign Up for your classes. After purchasing your classes, you’ll immediately see a confirmation screen that includes all the class dates within the 4-week series, followed shortly by a registration confirmation email.

The software lists the classes in chronological order, so if you’re looking for Swing I on Wednesdays, scroll down through Monday’s and Tuesday’s classes first.

If you’re purchasing a 2 or 3-pak, here’s a quick and easy guide:

  1. Create or log into your account
  2. Select your first 4-week group class
  3. Select 2-pak as your payment option
  4. Enter your payment (credit card) information
  5. On the following screen, select SCHEDULE IT to select your additional class(es)
  6. The final screen will show you your personalized BCS class calendar.

If you are purchasing a single class for couple,

  1. Create or log into your account
  2. Select the group class you’d like to attend
  3. Select  “myself” at the top of the page
  4. Select lead or follow for your role
  5. Select enroll
  6. Select “4-Week Group Class for a Couple”
  7. Check out
  8. On the receipt screen, where it says “1 (4)-week group class for a couple.  4 Remaining” select SCHEDULE IT
  9. This returns you to the class schedule page.  Select the class for the 2nd attendee.
  10. On the next screen, where it say I’m enrolling for, select “Someone else” and enter the 2nd attendee’s name.
  11. Select their lead or follow role.
  12. On the next screen called “My Schedule”, you will see two listings for presumably the same class, along with a couples icon.  Congrats, you did it.

It’s not that difficult.  These are just precise, step by step instruction. You can always call or email us with your partner’s name.

Groupon Registration

  1. Click here and set up a profile (name, address, email, lead (male) / follow (female) for each person you would like to enroll.
  2. Do not select a class, as we must manually input all of our “Coupon Clients”.
  3. Email us with the Names, Class Title, Day and Time and the unique Coupon ID for each student.
  4. After we receive that information, we will email you a class enrollment confirmation.

Important Reminders

  • Please read our FAQ Pages for Big City Swing’s policies and frequently asked questions regarding class size, cancellations and clothing recommendations.
  • Applicable early registration discounts are already figured into your purchase price.
  • Any levels with classes labeled “A,B,C” can be taken in any order.
  • Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston and Blues classes rotate partners, unless otherwise indicated. (We do not rotate partners in our wedding prep classes.)
  • Please visit Workshops for additional offerings this month
  • If a class is sold out, please select an alternative day/time or call 312.243.0700 to be put on the waitlist. Lead and follow availability may be closed until until a better balance is reached. It’s worth the call as there may be space if you are enrolling as a pair – 1 lead and 1 follow.
