Private Lessons

Swing, Lindy Hop, Wedding, Ballroom and Specialty Lessons

Private lessons are a great way to prepare for a special event or handle scheduling challenges. The material covered is based on a individual's request and needs, and the teachers will move at a pace that is comfortable for the student(s).

5 lesson package for an individual or couple - $275 (online payment not available at this time)

$75/hour for single or couple

All standard scheduling procedures and cancellation policies listed below apply to these lessons.

Scheduling

Private lessons are available days, evenings and weekends.

To schedule, please call 312.243.0700 or email info@bigcityswing.com. Please let us know which days and times work for you so that we can respond to your requests with appropriate availability in our schedule.

All private lessons must be confirmed with a credit card number, pre-paid or covered by a private lesson package. Should the student choose to confirm using a credit card, the card will only be charged upon request at the time of the lesson or if a student does not cancel or reschedule within the 24 hour time frame. Students may choose the form of payment at the time of lesson: Cash, Check, Mastercard or Visa.

Location

All private lessons take place at the Big City Swing Studio, 1012 W. Randolph Street in Chicago. There is free street parking in front of the studio. If your lesson is before 2pm, please allow an extra 5-10 minutes to find a free parking spot. There is a paid parking lot with an entrance on Carpenter just north of Randolph Street.

Private Lesson Cancellation/Refund/Credit Policy

To cancel a private lesson, contact Big City Swing as soon as possible via e-mail info@bigcityswing.com or phone 312.243.0700.

No cancellation fees will apply if a student cancels with at least 24 hours notice for lessons scheduled Monday - Friday. To avoid fees, notice of cancellation for lessons scheduled Saturday - Sunday must be received by 4:30pm Friday or 24 hours in advance, whichever comes first.

If a student cancels with less than 24 hours notice, or after 4:30 pm on Friday for a lesson taking place Saturday - Sunday, they will be charged the standard fee for a private lesson or one "punch" from their Package of 5 private lesson card.

Prices effective May 1, 2008; cancellation policy effective April 1, 2006.
