It all started when…

Julee Mertz discovered the small Lindy Hop scene in Chicago in 1997. Instantly hooked by the music, the community and the energy of the dance, her adored hobby fast became a career.

And now…

Big City Swing is Chicago’s destination for Swing and Lindy Hop instruction and performance. Our growing staff is the collective of talented, knowledgable, patient and encouraging teachers and wildly dynamic performers.
