Intermediate Six Count Swing

Intermediate 6-Count Swing builds on An Introduction to 6-Count Swing. It continues to emphasize proper lead and follow technique as well as introducing several new turns. The emphasis is building variety and fluidity into your dancing. It's a 75-minute instructional video covering:

Turning the Basic in Place
Triple Steps Closed to Open Position: -Open tuck turn; -Behind the Back
Open Position: -He goes/she goes; -Stop block turn; -Stop block turn with turn for leaders
From Open to Closed Positon: -Underarm turn to Closed; -Waistslide to Closed
And Numerous Practice Combinations

Instructors: Chris Yee & Julee Mertz

Chris Yee has taught workshops around the world, including the premier Lindy Hop Camp in Herrang, Sweden. Having mastered the fundamentals of leading and following, Chris is famous for his groovin style and amazing creativity on the dance floor.

Julee Mertz founded Big City Swing in 1997. Through performance and instruction, Big City Swing strives to inspire everyone, from the trained dancer to the dance enthusiast, to experience the thrill of Lindy Hop. In teaching workshops across the country, Julee is known for her musicality, fluid movement and dynamic following.

Together, Julee and Chris deliver clear and concise instruction on the concepts of leading and following, the classic movements of Lindy Hop, and the tools to tap into one's own style and creativity.
